Champion Build was appointed to deliver a full adaptation and internal reconstruction of a three-bedroom bungalow in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The project was designed to meet the long-term needs of a client with mobility challenges, with a clear focus on accessibility, independence, and future-proofing the home without compromising quality or comfort.
The property underwent a complete strip-out and reconfiguration, including the removal of internal load-bearing walls and the installation of a primary structural steel beam supported by new concrete pad foundations. The redesigned layout created an open, free-flowing environment suitable for wheelchair use and full movement via ceiling track hoist systems linking key living spaces.
Champion Build delivered a modern, safe, and highly functional home tailored to the client’s lifestyle and long-term needs. Key outcomes included full hoist-assisted movement from bedroom to bathroom, improved circulation through widened openings and level thresholds, and high-quality finishes throughout, completed within a 14-week programme and within budget.
