Champion Build was appointed to carry out extensive internal alterations and adaptation works to an existing residential property at Alexander Way, Thornbury. The project aimed to create a fully accessible home suitable for disabled use, while upgrading the building fabric and internal services throughout.

During early investigations, Champion Build identified that the ground floor had been constructed without a damp proof membrane, presenting a significant long-term risk to the property. This issue was raised with the client team and a full new damp proof membrane system was successfully incorporated into the works.

Champion Build delivered a fully modernised and adapted home, including upgraded electrical and mechanical systems, a new kitchen, accessible bathroom facilities, and a separate WC for carers. The completed project provides a safe, durable, and futureproofed living environment that supports long-term care needs.
